Château du Tailhas
This château was named after a place that was found between Pomerol and Saint-Émilion – Tailhas. This name had been written in a letter dated in 1289 from English King, Edward I. In 1932, this property was purchased by Philippe Nebout and since 1981, it has been managed by his descendants. The vineyard consists of 11 hectares and is located on the southern plateau of Pomerol. The soils are composed of silice and rich iron oxide, making it the perfect terroir for growing Merlot, which makes up the majority of its blend.
