Château de la Grave
Located in Côtes de Bourg, Château de la Grave has been owned by the Bassereau family for four generations. Their picturesque château dates from the XIV century and is surrounded by 45 hectares of vines that are planted to 78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Malbec and smaller amounts of white varieties, Sémillon and Colombard. They produce three reds: Caractère, their entry-level wine, Château de la Grave, their flagship and Nectar, their top cuvée produced from an old-vine selection that produces less than 40 hl/ha.
