17 Rene Gabriel

90 James Suckling
Bright, soft and fruity with plum and currant character, with full to medium body and a chewy finish. Muscular. Better in 2016.
89 Robert Parker
One of the finest, if not the very best Camensac I have ever tasted, this wine possesses loads of black currants, black cherries, cedar wood and spice box as well as a bit of earth and underbrush. It is medium to full-bodied, very generously endowed and quite long. Anticipated maturity: now-2025.<br/>

Nicely polished, featuring dark plum and currant flavors laced with cocoa powder and roasted vanilla bean notes, which extend through the finish. Drink now through 2013. 20,830 cases made.

Château de Camensac

Situated in the Haut-Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, Château de Camensac is one of the eighteen Fifth Growths found here. Coving over 75 hectares of vineyards, the vines have an average age of 35-years-old and are planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The estate produces two quality wines which are picked and sorted by hand. The Grand Vin, which is also called Château de Camensac and a second wine named La Closerie de Camensac. Today, Eric Boissenot acts as wine consultant.
