Château Bellevue Figeac
Situated near Pomerol, Château Bellevue Figeac is a small Saint-Émilion Grand Cru owned by Vignobles de Coninck, who also owns Château Junayme and Château Canon. The group additionally owns Beaucanon, a winery in the Napa Valley. The de Coninck family, a name with Belgian roots, originated from the well-established Bordelais Horeau and Beylot families, who own a traditional négociant house in Libourne. Bellevue Figeac's 5 hectares are composed of ancient sand and are planted with Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) that are 40 years' old on average. The ageing is done for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels - 55% new.
