A racy and refined Bellefont with stone, chalk and salty character. Wet earth and green olives, too. Medium to full body with a core of pretty fruit and solid tannins that are fine and polished.

Château Bellefont Belcier
One of the lesser known estates in Saint-Émilion, Bellefont-Belcier takes its name from its 17th century owner, Louis-François de Belcier. Today, it is owned by three associates, including Dominque Hébrard, the former owner and winemaker of Cheval Blanc before it was sold to LVMH. Despite being less known, its vineyards are incredibly well-placed on Saint-Émilion’s famous plateau, and they can claim Larcis-Ducasse, Tertre Roteboeuf, Troplong Mondot and La Mondotte as adjacent neighbors. In 2006, the château was promoted to Grand Cru Classé. With Michel Rolland as consulting oenologist, their wines tend to be modern in style with a fruit focused core and ageing in 80% new French oak casks.
