Castello di Nipozzano - Frescobaldi
Sold out
The Castello di Nipozzano estate, owned by the Frescobaldi family, is their most ancient and admired property. Lying at the heart of the Chianti Rufina area, this historic castle was built in the year 1000 and looks over the Arno River Valley. The property was purchased by the Frescobaldi family in 1855, and today, the estate covers close to 630 hectares, 240 of which are planted to vines, specifically, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The estate produces elegant, yet well-structured wines that each hold an impressive potential for aging. The collection includes two Tuscan IGTs, Montesodi and Mormoreto, as well as the vibrant Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG.
