Amadieu Pierre
With a long history in Gigondas, the Amadieu family has been producing wine since the 20th century. As one of the first estates to print the appellation on the label, founder, Pierre Amadieu was an innovator bottling his first wines in 1929. The estate stretches over 7 hectares in Gigondas, and today, the property is now owned by the third generation, who also happens to be named, Pierre Amadieu. In general, the work at this estate is a family affair, with many members heloing out in the vineyard, winery, and marketing. Together the family continues to use traditional methods in order to respect the soils and wines just as in the past. The resulting wines are well-balanced with a true Burgundy heart.
