96 James Suckling
This is very sexy on the nose with ripe fruits such as plums and berries, and hints of walnuts and Spanish cedar. It’s full-bodied, with soft, silky tannins and a nutty, rich finish. A wine from vines of more than 120 years old. Delicious to drink now.

Rich yet focused, this modern-style red delivers a mouthful of blackberry and currant fruit, framed by coffee and toast flavors, with mineral and sanguine accents adding a savory element. Energetic but not heavy, this leaves a spicy finish. Drink now through 2021. 500 cases imported. –TM

The 2011 Termanthia is dark and brooding with notes of peat and damp earth, shoe polish and plenty of smoky, spicy notes from the barrel. The palate is full-bodied, but seems a little too extracted with drying tannins toward the end. It seems a bit too extracted and dry. It might improve with time in bottle, as it is too young. Drink 2015-2019.
