New World

Beyond the traditional European appellations, the New World is defined by their more modern agricultural approaches. Grouped by their fairly recent establishments’ in the wine world, the New World viticulture regions have come to benefit from today’s contemporary technologies. New World wines continue to push the boundaries on previously set standards, gaining momentum from innovative facilities and marketing successes. At the center of the winemaking and wine-production in the U.S., there is California and its most famous wine regions: Napa Valley, Sonoma County and the Central Coast, which reign top with their wide range of quality wines. Chile, Argentina and South Africa have also proven their place in the industry by producing great wines, some even made from European replantings. With the exception of those of South Africa, New World producers like South America, South Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S. deliver popular wines designed to express the grapes’ qualities rather than geographical origins. ...
