Château Grand Corbin
Mr. Alain Giraud bought Château Grand Corbin in 1960. It is located close to the other Corbin properties, planted on sandy soils that lay over clay. The owners feel that the château was probably designed by the same architect as Château L’Évangile, in Pomerol in light of their similar styles. Since his death in 1982, Alain Giraud's heirs remain shareholders of the family-owned estate which is managed by Philippe Giraud. In 2006, it was promoted to Grand Cru Classé status from Grand Cru, in the Saint-Émilion Classification system.
