...and the winner is: CONCERTO!

This wines have a very similar background, both produced in the Chianti area, both with the same vinification, the age of vineyard is similar, the classification is similar, the blend is the same, small difference that Tignanello has 5% Cabernet Franc.
The main reasons that Concerto is the winner are, production, where Tignanello is a mass production of almost 700'000 bottles and Concerto about 14'500 bottles, and the price, where Tignanello, thanks to its worldwide brand, sells for about 25% more exepensive.
Tignanello is one of the greatest success in the Italian wine history, but Concerto 2013 won over the critics and it aims to remain in the history of Tuscan red wines.

Davide Vaccarini 19 points

The return of Concerto could not be better! Once open I loved the intense aromas of dark fruits such as cassis, plums and blackberry with a touch of spice and tobacco.
Fresh, full of energy on the palatte, this wine also shows structure and evolution; it is a mouth full of joy to drink. Approachable now with a good decanting but I am looking forward to drink it in the future. Blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aging 18 months in small french oak barriques. 14'500 bottles produced.
