Dear Wine Lover,
From an outstanding vintage, with almost two decades of maturity and massive scores from the critics, the Château Latour 2000 is a phenomenal wine. I would have a great opportunity today on this, precisely I would have 24 Magnums (2xOwc of 3, 3 x Owc of 6) to offer which we received directly from Château Latours cellars during their last ex Château release. As you can see from the photo bellow the wine comes in banded and perfect OWC, coming directly from Château Latour, which guaranty the perfect provenience and storage of them until today.
The millennial vintage was exceptional for the reds of Bordeaux. Considered by many as the first of the modern greats the best wines are rich, opulent and complete with a structure that demanded ageing. As the tasting notes indicate, patience is being rewarded and the Latour now starting to show beautifully.
Scored 100 points by Suckling, 20 points by René Gabriel, 98 points by Parker, 99 by Martin and 99 by Wine Spectator, this perfect wine promises the owner a sublime snapshot of red Bordeaux at its absolute finest. A flawless combination of excellent vintage, world-class terroir and phenomenal winemaking from one of the most revered of all producers.
This stock was the last held by the Château and so will be the last opportunity to purchase this iconic wine coming directly from the cellars of Latour.

James Suckling 100 points: Latour has made truly great wines in the past two decadesand this is one of the best. It has fabulous aromas of black truffles, currants, raspberry and dried flowers. Mind-blowing on the palate, its an emotional and soulful red.
) glatt etwas untendurch rutschten. Im Gaumen hochfein, seidige Tannine, ausgeglichene, perfekte Adstringenz, nonchalantes Finale. Dieser Schluck hat mich emotional bewegt. Mit Glück unter 1000 Euro zu finden. (20/20)
Neal Martin 99 points: Served blind at the chateau. There is so much brooding intensity in this wine, almost as if it is stalking the senses. Certainly there is remarkable mineralite here, sensational definition with briary and graphite developing with time. The palate is firm and masculine, tannic, powerful, such density and weight on the finish, yet showing no compassion to the tasted
yet. Approached blind, this is difficult to love as it is such uncompromising Latour, but it will blossom. Tasted December 2009.
Wine Spectator 99 points: The fruit here is still very much in the primary phase, with a decidedly racy feel to the raspberry coulis, cassis and blackberry reduction notes that are streaked with violet, iron and graphite flavors. The superlong finish alternates between a tug of sweet earth and a velvety feel, as the fruit and grip are still melding together, but there's so much vivacity here, there's no concern with waiting it out. The wait may be a while though. Rather stunning that this can separate itself so clearly from the rest of 2000's high-class field.2000 Bordeaux blind retrospective (December 2015). Best from 2020 through 2040. 14,167 cases made.
Robert Parker 98 points: The 2000 Latour (a relatively abundant 14,000 cases compared to what they produced in 2009, 2008, or 2005) is packed and stacked. The extremely rich, black/purple color to the rim is followed by a wine with some subtle smoke, loads of minerals, a hint of vanilla, and plenty of creme de cassis as well as roasted meat and a slight scorched earth character. Broad, savory, and rich, the wine seems to be about 5 years away from full maturity and should drink well for at least 40-50 more years. A great effort, probably eclipsed only by 2003 and 2009.
