Investment Opportunity: Mouton Rothschild 2016

Dear Wine Lover,

I have a great investment opportunity which I want to share with you.

Mouton 2016 is highly undervalued and this is the very last chance to purchase it at very good price. In fact we have one of the greatest prices on this wine, here the reasons why this is highly undervalued:

1)      Mouton Rothschild was the wine of the vintage last year. Robert’Parker’s wine’s Advocate rated it with the maximum rating of (98-100) and James Suckling with 100-100. There is no other wines of 2016 Bordeaux that received same or above ratings from these two critics. The second best rated was Pavie 2016, with one point less.

2)      Considering back vintages of Mouton Rothschild this is by far the cheapest great vintage of Mouton! After this there is Mouton 2010 and 2009, both selling at CHF 880, 30% more expensive, and they do not have as high rating as the 2016! The only vintages of Mouton  that currently have perfect rating as the 2016 are the 1982 and 1986- both selling well above CHF 1000 per bottle.

3)      Label Painter’s effect – Mouton Rothschild’s label’s artist will be disclosed as usual around November 2018, and the artists name can of course influence the price of the bottle. It is a gamble but this can only give an added value to the price of the bottle

4)      Swiss Francs effect – this are our last available quantities of our En Primeur purchases. We purchased this stock at the old exchange rate eur/chf of 1.09, this means that if we have to purchase them now, it will cost us more than our selling price!

5)      Guaranteed provenience – we purchased this stock En Primeur, a guarantee that the wine will arrive directly from the producer, all in perfect condition and in original wooden cases

6)      Big bottles - we have a few big bottles available – it is the last chance to purchase large formats at a very good price

7)      Mouton Rothschild is the wine to have for Bordeaux 2016, whether you are purchasing for investment or drinking this is the wine to have!

8)      I just analysed that Exactly last year on the 30.04.2017 , we were selling Chateau Margaux 2015 at CHF 600.00. Today it sells well over CHF 1'500 per bottle! Margaux 2015 was the wine of the vintage for 2015 Bordeaux and Mouton 2016 is the wine of the vintage for 2016 Bordeaux.

9)      Great ratings from all wine critics, not only Robert Parker’s wine advocate and James Suckling gave great ratings to Mouton 2016. All major critics gave incredible tasting note to this wine, on the bellow you can find a whole list of notes.

10)  Risk management – on the worst case scenario, where can the price go? considering that vintage like 2003 and 2006, which are good vintage but not outstanding like 2016, sell at about CHF 600, it seems there are no real risk.

If interested in buying this as investments please note that we can professionally store the wines on your behalf, and we can sell it for you in the coming years.

James Suckling 100-100 Points: This is a phenomenal, muscular red that shows incredible power and depth. Full-bodied and with great concentration of tannins but this remains agile and polished. The form to this is stupendous. Such precision and clarity. The new 1986 but better.
Davide Vaccarini 20 Points: A massive, monumental Mouton. This 2016 explodes with eloquent perfumes of blackcurrant and cassis fruits before flaunting its layers of complexity beneath. The wines unveils spicy notes, but then also graphite and hints of cheroot. A decisive Mouton, with explicit and elegant depth. Flawlessly integrated tannins are the last to be revealed, lasting several minutes on the palate.  Blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 1%Cabernet Franc and 1 % Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in 100% new oak.

Jean-Marc Quarin 100 points: The best ever. Color dark, black, beautiful, purple. Nose intense, fine, fruity, subtle, deep, pure, that I have never seen as floral. Entry in the majestic mouth and ample wine and full suite, grows powerful, rich and complex mid-palate. He stops there for a few moments, then grows fine, grows on the cheeks and ends extremely long, sappy, always very noble in its texture and its wonderful taste of cabernet sauvignon. Extraordinary. Congratulations! 2030 - 2100. Blend: 83% cabernet sauvignon, 15% merlot, 1% cabernet franc, 1% petit verdot. Alcohol level: 13.4 ° (average plus) - pH: 3.7 (average less).

Robert Parker’s The wine Advocate 98-100 Points: The 2016 Mouton-Rothschild is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the latter two co-fermented, picked from 26 September and finished on 14 October. As usual, it is being matured in 100% new oak. It has a very intense bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, cold limestone and crushed violet aromas that if anything, appear to gain vigour with aeration in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, juicy tannin. There is a lot of fruit packed into this Mouton-Rothschild and therefore one can feel the weight in the mouth, yet the acidity keeps everything on tip-toes. The finish has superb precision and opulence, completing a Mouton-Rothschild that will rivet you to the spot. Tasted on two occasions, the second confirming that this is simply a magnificent wine. Whichever artist eventually designs the label is going to be drinking well.

Wine Enthusiast 98-100 points: The opulence of this wine is very much in the tradition of the estate. This year, though, there is a level of freshness that's amazing. The generous tannins and acidity give the wine the perfect lift. It's a great wine from this estate, likely to mature for decades.

The Wine Cellar Insider 99 points: Almost opaque in colour, the wine is inky dark with a beautiful sheen to the edge. Blackberry, cassis, citrus, flowers, Cuban cigars and exotic spices are the first things you notice. Power balanced with stylishness, sweetness with acidity. This is pure silk and velvet in texture with the flavour of berries just picked off the vine. I timed the finish at over 60 seconds and this is just a baby! Imagine what this will be like when it's mature! The blend comes from 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. This is the first time since 2004 that Mouton Rothschild has been able to include Petit Verdot in the blend. At 13.2% alcohol with a pH of 3.76, the harvest took place between September 26 and October 14. The Grand Vin represents 53% of the harvest.
