This is a must-have in your cellar

Dear Wine Lover,

This might be the latest opportunity to buy Mouton Rothschild 2015 as the Wine Advocate has released Neil’s Martin ratings and the Mouton 2015 is one of the highest scored wines.

The label of Mouton 2015 has the signature of one of the most influential contemporary European Artists: GERHARD RICHTER! Beyond the exceptional quality of the 2015 vintage and the worldwide reputation of the German artist Gerhard Richter, the label of Château Mouton Rothschild will now be signed by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild on behalf of the three family owners. After Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and Baron Philippe de Rothschild before her, this new signature reflects the continuity of the family history. As Neil Martin stated: “Together with that brilliant label by Gerhard Richter, this is a must-have in your cellar” – Don’t Miss it.

FYI – back vintages value:

2000 – CHF 1’900.00+VAT

2009 – CHF 880.00+VAT

2010 – CHF 880.00+VAT

75.0 cl Château Mouton Rothschild - Pauillac - 2015 CHF 575.00 (CHF 619.30Vat Incl.)

24 bottles or more CHF 565.00 (CHF 608.50 Vat Incl.)

36 bottles or more CHF 555.00 (CHF 597.75 Vat Incl.)

Wine Advocate “98” Points: The 2015 Mouton Rothschild has a deep, almost opaque color. The nose is very intense and extraordinarily backward: blackberry, graphite (in fact, more like a big box of pencil shavings), hints of blueberry, violet and a splash of Indian ink. It must surely constitute one of the most penetrating aromatics this vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannin that forms the arching structure of this Mouton, with layers of rich black fruit reined in by the killer line of acidity. This is ineffably pure and delineated toward the finish with an effervescent finish that leaves a stupid grin on your face. Together with that brilliant label by Gerhard Richter, this is a must-have in your cellar. Anticipated maturity: 2028 - 2060.

James Suckling "99" Points: Decadent and rich aromas of black cherries and plums with wet earth and sandalwood. Turns to dried mushrooms. Full-bodied, tight and closed with big, polished tannins, yet this is very closed and shy right now. Despite this, underneath it shows such depth and beauty. Tangy acidity. This is a combination of 2005 and 2009. Try it in 2024.
