Barolo Mosconi 2013 at the Best price in Switzerland!

Dear Wine Lover,

This is a great example of how good and how fairly priced Piedmont wines can be: Chiara Boschis’s Barolo Mosconi 2013, rated with 95+ points by Parker’s Wine Advocate and 96 points by James Suckling and selling at CHF 55.00 + Vat is a no brainer for all Barolo lovers or for those who would like to discover this region and its tremendous wines!

The combination of an exceptional vintage such as 2013 with one of the most dynamic producers in the region, offers a result that is just mouth-watering! As you probably know already, Chiara Boschis is one of the few women in the Langhe to produce wines at such high levels. James Suckling gave this Barolo Mosconi 2013 splendid 96 points describing it with words such as "very concentrated on the nose" and  "very polished". Also Robert Parker wants to underline the great style and quality of Chiara Boschis single vineyard Barolo with firm 95+ points mentioning that “ The wine’s layering is rich and lasting in intensity”!

This vintage and wine should absolutely not be missing in your cellar, today at the very Best price on the Swiss market:

75.0 cl Barolo Mosconi - Chiara Boschis - 2013 CHF 55.00 (CHF 59.40 Vat included)

For 12 bottles or more at CHF 53.00 (CHF 57.10 Vat included)

For 36 bottles or more at CHF 50.00 (CHF 53.85 Vat included)

James Suckling "96" Points: This is very concentrated on the nose with so much blackberry, blueberry and ripe-strawberry character. Camomile-tea undertones. Full-bodied, very polished and sexy with racy tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Shows depth and texture. Better in 2021.

Robert Parker "95+" Points: The 2013 Barolo Mosconi shows thicker textural fiber and greater overall power. The Mosconi site is characterized by heavy clay soils that act like a sponge and keep the moisture locked deep within even during the warmest months. The wine opens to coffee and dark fruit with more cherry, spice, tobacco and black truffle at the back. The mouthfeel is generous and wide in appeal, showing tannic firmness that coats the palate. The wine's layering is rich and lasting in intensity. This wine shows excellent possibility for further cellar evolution._Chiara Boschis describes the 2013 vintage as having a double personality. It started off cool and the the growth cycle got off to a slow start. The second half of the season saw a faster acceleration that quickly compensated for the delays. The Cannubi cru is south-facing and is usually among the first vintages to ripen. It suffers most in the hot years, but performs beautifully in more temperate vintages like 2013 (that also had more moisture in the soils). Chiara was joined by her younger brother Giorgio in the winery in 2010.
