Dear Wine Lover,
In the heart of Bolgheri, known for bringing to life some of the greatest wine of italy, lays a little, yet unknown to most, family runned wine producer called Chiappini: The location of its vineyard is just amazing, the next door neightbours are Ornellaia, Masseto and le Macchiole (known for Messorio and Paleo). This is our latest discovery of a very very promising wine which we have been following closely recently. Not only the wine are incredibly well balanced, rich and yet come for a very good price quality, but the wines age really well. We opened recently a 2004 which is showing just amazingly, and could compete next to all the super stars from Bolgheri.
Over the years, this small estate born from a family of farmers who moved to Bolgheri in the 50s, has reached incredible levels of quality, winning in 2013 100/100 points from one of the most important wine magazines in the world, the Wine Enthusiast, for it`s 2009 vintage! Giovanni Chiappini took over from his parents and passed the wine making passion to his daughters Martina and Lisa who work closely together. Their love for this unique terroir and the passionate effort of traditional handwork, offers wines with amazing characteristics at reasonable prices.
This is a great opportunity to secure a fantastic Bolgheri wine at a fraction of the super stars price. The wine we are offering today is their top Cuvee so if you are interested, hurry up, as the quantities are extremely limited! In fact, the total production of Giovanni Chiappini's 8 wines is 5000 cases, corresponding to about 600 cases per wine. With Guado de Gemoli producing a very small part of this.. In short, you will feel lucky to own a case!

Robert Parker 93 points: The 2012 Bolgheri Superiore Guado de' Gemoli is a dark and brooding wine with big spice intensity and dark fruit layers that peel off slowly one thick layer at a time. The wine is composed of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a smaller element of Merlot that adds soft cherry nuances to the bouquet. There are pretty mineral notes as well and the wine delivers great linearity and textural richness to the palate. This vintage should hold ten years or longer
